The State has also adopted new laws requiring that firearms dealers be licensed by the State, despite already being licensed and under the supervision of the Federal Government. This new requirement forces lawfully operating, already licensed dealers to pay an additional annual fee*, submit to and pay for redundant background checks, and provide state approved training to staff.  These unfunded mandates add yet another layer of cost and time to small businesses. As a result of these additional costs and burdens, we have no choice but to assess an additional $12 fee to the final sale price of EACH firearm sold. In addition, it is now illegal to store an unsecured firearm in a vehicle.
