This new requirement forces lawfully operating, already licensed dealers to pay an additional annual fee*, submit to and pay for redundant background checks, and provide state approved training to staff.  These unfunded mandates add yet another layer of cost and time to small businesses. As a result of these additional costs and burdens, we have no choice but to assess an additional $12 fee to the final sale price of EACH firearm sold. In addition, it is now illegal to store an unsecured firearm in a vehicle.
